Caring for someone who suffers from a psychiatric and/or neurological disease is a very demanding process, for which no one prepares us. A relative, a spouse, a parent or a child of a patient needs practical tips and knowledge to effectively take care of the loved one and, at the same time, maintain his/her mental and emotional balance. In other words, they need professional training.

In our effort to respond to the needs of these families, we offer Individual and Group Psychoeducational programs (in office and through skype) for caregivers of patients suffering from:

The research but, most of all, the clinical experience with patients and their families has shown that Psychoeducation helps both the caregiver and the patient as it is the most effective way to reduce depression and the psychological burden of the caregiver, to help the caregiver manage the patient’s problems and to achieve a substantial improvement for the quality of life of both of them.
